Day 1

The Colosseum and Ancient Rome

Morning: Use a timed ticket for the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, starting at the earliest practical slot.
Afternoon: Eat in Monti, then walk past Capitoline Hill and the Jewish Ghetto toward the river.
Evening: Cross into Trastevere before dinner, then wander beyond its busiest restaurant streets.

Day 2

The Vatican and Prati

Morning: Enter the Vatican Museums early and move deliberately toward the Raphael Rooms and Sistine Chapel.
Afternoon: Visit St Peter's Basilica, then have lunch in Prati away from the Vatican walls.
Evening: Walk to Castel Sant'Angelo and follow the river toward Piazza Navona after dark.

Day 3

Pantheon, Trevi and Villa Borghese

Morning: See the Trevi Fountain early, continue to the Spanish Steps and enter the Pantheon with a timed booking.
Afternoon: Choose the Borghese Gallery if reserved, or spend a slower afternoon across Campo de' Fiori and central lanes.
Evening: Finish with aperitivo and a final plate of cacio e pepe, amatriciana or saltimbocca.
